Danny Norris was born in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Arlington, Texas at age 11. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, a Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, and a Masters of Library Science from the University of North Texas.
He is currently serving as a Trustee for the Harris County Department of Education. He is also the Associate Director of the Law Library and an Instructor of Legal Research at Thurgood Marshall School of Law on the campus of Texas Southern University. He is licensed to practice before the State Bar of Texas and the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
He is the past president of both the Houston Lawyers Association and the African American Lawyer Section of the State Bar of Texas. A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a 2015 Fellow of New Leaders Council.
Most importantly, he is a husband and a father of beautiful children, ages 7 and 10.
